Allowing Room For Miracles

by | Strategy Implementation

This month was no exception…

Without fail Clare Russell brings interesting questions to her monthly Limelight session.

And she described my session with her this month as a “multi-layered cracker”.

Here’s why…

As with all the 7-Figure Back Office’s 15 Limelight clients, Clare is a rising star in personal development and Mind Body and Spirit field. Her role – the difference she makes in the world – is to help people become more intuitive and live with greater synchronicities so they live the life they want.

The Big Challenge Many Authors, Speakers And Coaches Have At Live Talks

Clare’s challenge had been something that affects many speakers who have a passion to share their message with people.

Can you guess what that challenge was?

Like many others, Clare is very enthusiastic about sharing what she loves. But in the past sometimes she’s ‘overshared’.

And that causes a reaction in the audience no speaker wants…

Oversharing can overburden some while it gives others so much information they don’t feel the need to invest in the deeper information Clare could give them if they chose to work with her at a higher level.

So, here’s what we did…

I encouraged Clare to refine how she shares her expertise and passion and really focus the talk on the needs of the audience at that moment.

The result for Clare was that 53% of her next audience wanted to work with her at a higher level after her talk. But that wasn’t the end of the session.

We still had that multi-layered cracker to go…

You Don’t Grow Your Business. It Grows You.

Here’s what she asked: ‘I sense that my business could grow substantially, but I don’t think I’m there yet on holding that big a vision.  How do you think about your business growth?

I told her that it was simple. ‘You are not growing your business – its growing you’.

I’ve often told clients over the last decade that being in business is a hero’s journey. It’s true all of your ‘stuff’ comes up. Things like…

What if I can’t make enough money?

I don’t like selling but I need to sell…

Integrity and honesty…

How do you get things done you’re not good at?

Personal value and self-esteem…

Boundaries…

How do you cope with everything?

And you need to master these things. And I look at these things like a video game – when you master the challenge at one level, you then go on to another level of the same issue. Eventually, you reach a point of flow where you see things and handle them with ease and grace.

But what else did I tell Clare about how I think about growing my business…

Do You Love Your Clients Enough To Give Them Your Most Treasured Possession?

I said, I’ve learnt now to create things with clients rather than for my clients. This is subtle.

Let me explain…

Too often I’ve seen people create something the market doesn’t want or need and then wonder why it won’t sell. So, when you create something with clients, you know what they want and you design it to fit. You honour them. You respect them. You understand their needs and their process.

And they buy it easily and quickly!

But there’s more…

Designing to fit a specific need is the single most important desire I fill with a potential client.  It is why last year 85% of my calls with prospective clients turned into new clients. It wasn’t sales per se. It was design.

There’s more…

The packages we offer at www.7figurebackoffice.com/services evolve through listening to people. And listening to people who were interested in working with us, helps us decide what’s most needed for them. We share our love with them. They want us. We want them. We just need to work out the way that love will evolve!

Are you feeling the love?

But isn’t that what it’s all about?

Anyway, there was something else I told Clare…

It was about how we grow 7-Figure Back Office.

It’s one of my favourites…

Each week, I look back and see what the business has been telling me – where it’s been steering me. It shows me what I need to fix. It’s sometimes shown by something causing us pain or discomfort. Other times something comes out of nothing. Here’s what I mean…

Learn To Watch The Space

Last year, one Wednesday in October, the afternoon was booked solid a month in advance. But, one-by-one, still weeks in advance, for various reasons, clients asked to re-book. I thought it was strange – almost funny – but I didn’t try to re-book others into the afternoon. I decided to ‘watch the space’.

What occurred was monumental. There was this huge wave of client work that flowed in. It was crazy. Had I not watched the space and been there, we’d have missed that wave – a wave that led to a record breaking month for us.

This occurred to me again in January…

On this occasion I tried booking people into a date in my diary. I’d offered the date to 5 people and they all asked for alternative dates! But here’s what happened…

On that morning – the January morning – when I opened my email I had 4 potential clients, all wanting to speak to me before noon. The result was around £18,000 in new business.

So, to answer Clare question, I’d say I have an intuitive handle on my business and really sense what’s needed. I’m not forcing 7-Figure Back Office. I’m listening and allowing it to evolve and dictate what’s needed – I’m allowing room for miracles.
